Your First Personal Training Session at Sweat Equity Fitness Los Angeles: What to Expect
You booked your first session at Sweat Equity Fitness in Hollywood. Good. The hardest part of getting in shape is deciding to start, and you just did it.
Our Hollywood studio is on Cahuenga Blvd between Franklin Ave and Yucca St, just off the 101 and close to Los Feliz and Hancock Park. It's private, so there's no crowded floor and no waiting for equipment. This guide covers what to bring, where to park, what happens in your first session, and what training costs, so you walk in feeling like you've been here before.
What to bring
Comfortable workout clothes and shoes you can move in. That's it. We take care of the rest.

What happens in your first session
Your coach spends the first session getting to know you: your goals, your training history, any injuries, and what's gotten in the way before. From there, they start building a plan around you. No cookie-cutter workouts.
Before you come in, tell us anything your coach should know: an injury, a condition, or the goal you're most excited about. Just reply to your confirmation email.
What personal training costs in Los Angeles
We publish our prices because you deserve to know before you commit. Here's what a session costs at our Los Angeles studio.
Why we start at two sessions a week
We don't offer once-a-week training. One session a week isn't enough to build strength or change your body, and people who try it usually end up frustrated. Two sessions a week is the minimum we've seen work, which is why our programs run two or four months. Consistency wins.
Who this is not right for
Private 1-on-1 training is an investment. It's not the right fit if you want the cheapest option, only want to train once a week, or aren't ready to commit to a few months. If that's you, a big-box gym membership is a better place to start, and we'll tell you so honestly.
Quick answers
Why is there a $20 deposit?
